Earth Day 2007: We joined the “Green Team” and served as sponsor
for the Inaugural Huron Valley Earth Day Festival. Tall Trees
provided information table on conservation and gardening and starter twigs
from native trees for planting. We enjoyed sparking kids’ and parents’
interests with a gardening activity for kids.

Fundraising Partnerships: We are passionate about our local
community and the environment and have been supporting them
through partnerships in the sale of our sustainably grown and
harvested greens for wreaths.
• Fall 2006: Tall Trees partnered with the Lakeland High School
Band Boosters, creating a special “LHS” wreath.
Parents and band members joined in for work/fun parties. We also
partnered with the Oakland Land Conservancy in a successful wreath sale
fundraiser for their conservation work in the Huron Valley area.
• Fall 2007: Tall Trees partnered in wreath-sale fundraising for the
Huron Valley Earth Day Festival, the Oakland Equestrian Coalition,
Highland Equestrian Conservancy, and the Huron Valley “Hot Team” .
We also created “designer wreaths” for Highland Feed (equestrian theme),
Milford Music and Basically Birds (music- and bird-themes respectively, of
course!)
• Winter 2007: We helped plan the Huron Valley's First Harvest of
the Earth Fundraising Dinner for the Huron Valley Earth Day Festival.
We sponsored a table as well as organized the silent auction, assisted local
farmers in contributing and The Dinner SOLD OUT and was a huge
success! We also participated in the Huron Valley Holiday Parade!

| Future Events: • Holiday Open House & Greens Market Sundays ~ November 23rd – December 14th Come and enjoy the greens— wreaths, swags, table decorations, and more, along with our hospitality! Sip hot cider around a bonfire after a hayride through the farm. Bring the family! • Holiday Workshops for Kids & Adults, Saturdays ~ November 22nd – December 6th: • Kids’ Holiday Creations: Workshop for kids to create their own special wreath or swag for themselves or as a “surprise” … • Greens Galore: Workshop for teens or adults to create that special wreath, swag, or table arrangement…. Additional workshops can be arranged for groups and holiday parties…contact us! *About our holiday greens: Pruning of our conifers is carried out at the holidays, providing sustainably harvested, naturally grown holiday greens for the community. Our greens are fresh- cut and our wreaths and other decorations are artistically created, with unique one-of a-kind designs, many incorporating other natural materials from the farm. |
